LOS ANGELES, CA – Nov 10, 2009 – iolo technologies, LLC, recently
crowned the fastest-growing company in the U.S. by the American
Business Awards, announced today that its entire line-up of English
products will now be distributed by Comguard throughout countries in
the Middle East, including: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan,
Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine,
Qatar, Pakistan, Palestine, Turkey, UAE and Yemen. The newest
distribution means that, in addition to global availability via web
merchants, iolo’s products can now be purchased in retail stores
located in 32 countries across five continents.
iolo’s English products were previously available in the United Arab
Emirates and Saudi Arabia. With an explosive growth of internet
usage in the region, however, there has been a demand for a more
widespread availability of iolo’s award-winning PC tune-up,
security, file recovery, and data privacy software tools. More than
200 million people live in the Middle East currently, with nearly 90
percent of consumer households in the region containing
computers,1 and nearly 25 percent of the entire population using the
internet.2 English is widely taught and used throughout most Middle
Eastern countries, especially among the middle and upper classes,
and in Pakistan and Turkey alone nearly 30 million people speak the
language.

The complete range of iolo’s products, including System Mechanic,

well as iolo’s internet security products, will be distributed by
Comguard to various retail and online locations throughout the
region including Carrefour, CompuMe, Emax Electronics, Geant
Hypermarket, Hyperpanda, Plug-Ins Electronics, SharafDG Electronics,
Virgin Megastores and World Mart. The products, compatible with
Windows 7, Vista and XP, can be used on up to three PCs.

ComGuard becomes the first Authorized Training
Centre for
Kaspersky Lab in Mid-East

Kaspersky Lab, a leading
global provider of internet security services and anti virus
products has signed an agreement with its UAE-based value added
distributor ComGuard for the establishment of the Russian vendor’s
first authorised Middle East training centre at Dubai Knowledge
Village.
The
four-room facility can accommodate up to 80 trainees simultaneously
offering access to server equipment, laptops and PCs, high speed
internet access, and isolated network for lab testing requirements.
The course
includes modules on online threats and how to prevent fight them,
comprehensive system anti virus protection, configuring and running
virus scan tasks well as certification on Kasperky Lab internet
security and antivirus product installation, administration and
management.
“The courses target existing customers, partners, personal users and
technology students from across the GCC and will be delivered by
Kaspersky Lab and ComGuard specialist trainers,” said Tarek Kuzbari,
Managing Director, Kaspersky Lab, Middle East.
“This initiative is yet another step demonstrating our commitment to
the region following the inauguration of our first Middle East
office in Dubai last year. Kaspersky Lab always wants to make a
